Keynotes and Debates

Keynote Lecture 2018

The 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting started with a keynote by Nobel Laureate Elizabeth H. Blackburn. This speech first introduced the concept of the Lindau Guidelines as she called for more open science and more involved scientists.

Keynote Lecture 2019

Nobel Laureate Brian Schmidt called on young scientists to get involved in the Lindau Guidelines debate in his lecture “Big Questions for Society, Big Questions for Research” to open the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.

Debate 2020

During the Lindau Online Science Days 2020, Nobel Laureates Elizabeth H. Blackburn, Martin Chalfie and William E. Moerner discussed the Lindau Guidelines with Lindau Alumni Liubov Poshyvailo and Tanmoy Laskar.

Presentation 2021

Starting in June 2021 scientists have the opportunity to sign the guidelines. As part of the 70th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Wolfgang Huang, director of the council for the meetings, presented the idea of the Lindau Guidelines.
